Let's Roll Out ALS
Banff, Calgary, Edmonton, West Edmonton Mall, and finally watching an Oilers game at Rexall Place was better than anticipated. Yes, this was a Bucket List trip; however, with the help of my good friend Pat, my brother and our Banff/Calgary hosts Lori & Devin we created awareness by speaking to many locals and visitors about ALS, it’s unfortunate that many people worldwide are, or were affected by ALS — we have to Let’s Roll Out ALS!
I did everything I wanted to do, even more! We visited two beautiful Cities, purchased a watch (named Willow) at West Edmonton Mall and finally got to watch an Oilers hockey game at Rexall Place, I most certainly got to see all of #99’s banners when playing for the Oilers as I wanted. We were able to enter the Saddledome as the Flames were practicing Friday morning (excited to see that arena too), and Pat had organized with the Oilers hockey operations that we attend Saturday morning pre-game skate… it was exciting, to say the least.
With this trip, I will mostly remember ”me,” allowing myself to go out of my comfort zone. Merci Dube!
