My friend Eric asked if I would like to go with him and his son to Europe for his son hockey tournament with World Selects Invitational; all 2001 players, 20 teams, 5 from North America and 15 from Europe. His son won the Bronze medal. Eric and I never expected to visit new arenas on another continent :).
During the trip we visited Milano, Balzano/Bozen (City that hosted the tournament), Val Gardena which is a valley in the Dolomites of northern Italy, and a part of the Alpes.
I’ve always wanted to see the Swiss Alpes, I can now say that I did. Not only did I see them — we drove up 2050 meters :).
Really enjoyed the trip, never thought I would have the pleasure of traveling to that beautiful part of the world.
